Terry joined Bios in February of 2002 after a 25 year career in Manufacturing and Purchasing Management. This included 5 years of experience in a related field supporting Individuals with Disabilities in assisting with Employment Opportunities within the Private Sector.

He was nominated and received a Governors Award in Oklahoma for his work in the Field of Disabilities in 2001.

His career with Bios included positions as Vocational Program Manager and Area Director while in Oklahoma. In 2004 Terry was offered a position as Regional Director for Bios as our Mission of Empowering People to Reach Their Dreams was expanded into Middle Tennessee. He Advanced to the State Executive Director Position for Bios of Tennessee in 2007.

Terry holds an Associate in Science Degree from Connors State College. He is committed to his continued advocacy for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.

Kristi Wendling, Area Director

                                                                                                                                                             Kristi Wendling moved from Oklahoma to Tennessee in 2005.   Inspired by others with a passion for Empowering People to Reach Their Dreams, Kristi joined Bios in June 2005.   Her positions have included Administrative Assistant and Financial Program Manager, and currently is serving as the Area Director for the Columbia office. She represents Bios as a member of the Intensive Consultation Advisory board for the Middle Tennessee Region.

Having an entrepreneurial spirit, Kristi owned and operated a business for 4 years as well as professional experience in the insurance industry.

Kristi graduated with an Associate in Business Management.   Due to perseverance and a love of learning she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor in Business Administration from Bacone College.   It is her desire to continue her advocacy and service in the field of developmental disabilities.

 

Michael Bunnell, Director of Aging Services

Michael came to Bios on February 12^th, 2007, after honorably serving 9 years as a United States Marine. Michael started with Bios as a human resources assistant and brought with him 12 years of management and leadership experience, as well as high personal standards and exceptional work ethics.

In June 2007, Michael was promoted to Quality Assurance Manager for Bios of Tennessee. In this position Michael was able to identify quality issues, develop and implement effective and efficient resolutions. Michael’s efforts assisted Bios of Tennessee with earning their highest Tennessee State annual survey score ever. Michael is now leading the way within the aging services division, A Better Life Senior Services, as the Director of Aging Services.

From an early age Michael has dedicated his life to serving others, and continues to today; from serving our country honorably to currently serving our friends and family. Michael understands the key to continuing a rich and healthy life is having the support of compassionate and dedicated people to help when the need arises.
